Postcard

Antique original 1910s Christmas Greeting postcard. Features a Holly branch with berries, red bow, ivy leaves and open book that reads, "Wishing You a Merry Christmas."

Card is used with 1913 postmark. Mailed to Master Marshall Schafer at Vermillion, Kansas.

Condition is very good with some edge and corner wear and crease upper left corner.

Vintage original embossed Christmas postcard featuring Santa Claus with a blond haired doll in a pink dress. Santa is dressed in a white suit and hat.  Copyright 1911 in the lower right corner. Series 213 A. Measures the standard 3.5 x 5.5 inches.

Reads, "A Merry Christmas".

Card is used with writing on back.

Condition is very good with light edge and corner wear.

Published by the Hugh C. Leighton Co., Manufacturers, Portland, ME, U.S.A. Card number 15262.  Made in Germany.

Back reads: At an expense of Dollars 2,000,000, the C. & N.W. Ry. have constructed a steel double track railroad bridge across the Mississippi River at Clinton, to supercede the old single track bridge which has been in use since 1865. This bridge is the most massive construction of any railroad bridge on the Mississippi.

Card is used with a 1912 St. Joseph, Missouri postmark. Mailed to Mr. Theo Dein at Alexandria, Nebraska. Condition is very good with some edge and corner wear and light soiling.

Council Grove, Kansas pennant postcards. This listing is for both the cards pictured. One shows "A Quiet Nook near Council Grove", the other shows cattle grazing.

Both cards are postmarked 1920 Council Grove, KS.

Top card is addressed to: Miss Mildred Jorn at Peru, Nebraska. Bottom card is addressed to: Mr. C.A. Jorn at Verdon, Nebraska.

Condition for both is good. They do show edge and corner wear and bottom card has some bleed through to the front, from the cancellation mark. Cattle card also has a light crease to the lower right corner. Both measure 5 1/2 x 3 5/8 inches.

Condition is good, but it does have edge and corner wear, crease lower right corner and overall general wear and some soiling.

Card measures 5.5 x 3.5 inches tall.

Vintage Easter postcard, reads "A Happy Easter". Card no. B 1186. Card is used with 1913 Kansas cancellation. Mailed to Miss Selma Nasman at Clay Center, Kansas.

Condition is very good with horizontal crease near top and crackling to the gel surface. Very pretty card.

Vintage original 1910s Easter Postcard featuring two little girls. One carrying a basket of eggs, the other with a chick on a leash. Reads, "A Bright and Happy Easter". Printed in Germany. Card has inscription written on back, in ink.

Condition is very good with light corner wear and "Collection of N. C. Baker" stamped on back.

Card measures 5.5 x 3.5 inches. Condition is good with crease running vertically through center. Several other small creases and edge and corner wear.
